Giovanna spent almost 2 weeks with me in Nebraska. It really turned out to be an educational field trip for her. She learned to do lots of things while she was there and she had a lot of fun.
Giovanna has always enjoyed washing dishes, but since there are always so many of them at home, she rarely gets a chance to do them. However in Nebraska since there were only three of us, she did them almost everyday. She loved washing them and by the end of our time there, she had learned to stack them neatly in the dish drainer!
She also learned to push Grandpa in his wheel chair. She wanted to push him everywhere! It brought big smiles to the nurses at the hospital when they saw her pushing her grandpa. The always commented on what a big helper she was! She would beam from ear to ear!
She also learned how to love and serve another, even when it doesn’t feel good! She learned how to serve with joy and that loving others takes effort. She is very intuitive and could read situations between my parents pretty well.
Giovanna learned how to live out Matthew 5:16 – In the same way , let your light shine before others so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
She did well and now I pray that her actions will point her grandparents to the father of lights!
