The Bunny Saga – Part 2

10 07 2009

A couple of years ago, a mother bunny had her babies in a hole in our garden.  Giovanna loved these bunnies and they were really cute.  However the bunnies did not live to be bigger bunnies and there were some issues that now looking back are rather funny, but at the time were not pleasant.  The story is posted here.

This summer we found another hole with baby bunnies – at least one was dead when we found the hole.  I don’t know if Giovanna has figured out that there are more bunnies – at this point, I hope she doesn’t.  However she really did enjoy them and the soft spot in her heart came out during that time.

We didn’t try to keep the baby bunnies as pets, but just to watch them. Wild bunnies are hard to tame and one needs to be careful about rabies and such things.
